Nicholls to train for Elite
Elite Racing Club has sent a horse to be trained by seven-times champion jumps trainer Paul Nicholls. The Ditcheat handler has taken charge of point-to-point winner Lumpys Gold, a five-year-old gelding who has yet to race under Rules.

“I am delighted to have been asked to train for Elite Racing Club. We are already planning and looking forward to our open days here at Ditcheat and welcoming the club’s members,” said Nicholls.
Elite spokesman Dan Downie said: “It is obviously great news that Paul has agreed to train for Elite. The club has a strong commitment to National Hunt racing and it was our purchase of Mysilv, for what was a world record price at the time, that really put the club on the map so many years ago. Elite also have jumpers with current champion Nicky Henderson, Emma Lavelle and Donald McCain, who is responsible for Cheltenham Listed hurdle winner Doyly Carte.
On the National Hunt side, we are delighted to announce a new Club horse to enter training with Paul Nicholls. LUMPYS GOLD has already shown some promise for his previous connections, when the winner of a Point-to-Point at Chaddesley Corbett, and is out of an unraced half-sister to the Becher Chase winner and Grand National-third, Samlee. He does look to be a chaser-in-the-making, but will hopefully give Club Members plenty of fun over hurdles in the meantime and could make his racecourse debut in the Club’s famous white-and-black colours in October.

22.10.13. is a big day for Lumpy’s Gold its his first race For Elite!

I’ll keep you all posted about his race, love being a member.
