Worth the wait…………..

China Tea
In 2007 Elite Racing club bought a yearling filly at Newmarket sales, on her way out of the ring slipped and fell she was found to have fractured her pelvis she was immediately sent away for a years rehabilitation, during this time she was named “China Tea” she was a good patient and the year passed quickly and she was then put into training to start off with she was great did everything correctly but then as she started to go faster up the gallops She would go lame after every piece of work………
The yard chiropractor came to assess her along with the vet and they found a weak spot where she’d had the old injury before so after yet more rehab time and a controlled excercise programme the gallops beckoned once again,
lame again………….
After further consultation with her trainer and club management it was recommended in her best interests that she retired to join the club’s broodmare band as she couldn’t stand the rigours of full training.
Off to one of the club’s studs she went some members were worried (including me) that she might injure herself again being covered or foaling but these worries were to proved unfounded as she produced a big filly! ( she had two more since then) her first born Clemency is now 4 and in training with Nicky Henderson a lovely filly who has shown loads of ability in her first three races I like her a lot!

She ran today and was pulled up post race checks revealed “atrial fibrillation” the same problem that Sprinter Sacre had will keep you all posted fingers crossed………

Delighted to announce she’s fully recovered from this minor setback and will be racing very soon……….
Also her little brother Elgin won his first race yesterday can’t wait till he goes jumping his jockey really likes him and thinks Elite Racing Club have a nice horse on their hands.

*Clemency had her first run of the new season today at Market Rasen running a nice 4th a race full of promise fingers crossed her heart problem is now a thing of the past

Unfortunately she didn’t enjoy her racing anymore so she’s been sold  I wish her new  connections the best of luck with her in whatever she does  next 😦
