It would appear, though Carlos himself hasn’t actually said it but he seems to be in some sort of collaboration with this company. He has posted a couple of tweets now promoting gentlemen’s watches by Azzule. I don’t know much about them, seems they might be a new company as their twitter account was only set up in May this year but if they’ve got Carlos on board with them it can only be good 😀

Review: Twin Peaks (S3 E11/18), Tuesday 25th July, Sky Atlantic

The Killing Times

In part 11, we were back in Twin Peaks for perhaps longer than we have been in a while. In fact, we seem to be spending more time in the town as each episode goes by, which suggests that all scattered characters and identities will eventually make their way back somehow and there will be some sort of denouement in the town at some point. Although let’s face it, trying to predict anything in this series is such a futile exercise. I’ve said it before and I’ll said it again, every time you think you know what might happen does the rug is well and truly pulled beneath you. And this is one of the reasons why it’s so watchable: you tune in desperate to see Good Coop emerge from his catatonic Dougie Jones state only to see teases of his old self.

Alcala Up For The Plate

Sporting Judgement

Jump racing fans are in sleep mode at this time of year, with the festivals at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown something of a distant dream.

Not even the boldest of punters have started filling up the ante-post notebook just yet.

However, there’s the odd big race to prick the ears up in between all the action on the flat and one comes this Saturday at Market Rasen in the shape of the Summer Plate.

It’s a Listed Handicap with £50k in prize money for the winner. So as you’d expect, runners trained by Nicky Henderson, Paul Nicholls, Nigel Twiston-Davies and Jonjo O’Neill have all be entered.

One of those is Alcala. The legend you will have heard plenty about if you are a regular reader of my blog.
