Live Nation celebrate their #national concert day

Concert review- Blake ” Christmas Classics” live at Clitheroe Grand

Firstly it was another sellout concert I’d been watching the rain come down in stairods all afternoon, Blake commented on their difficult journey up due to flooding in some parts of the area all week.
Their very funny chatty moments had the audience in stitches and eating out of their hands, one of the show highlights was a stunning version of ” Hallelujah” sung a capella I now love Stephen’s voice I’m a sucker for a baritone as you all know! Even mum likes him too…..
Next came “Walking in the Air” which Ollie and Humphrey got pitch perfect this song is from “The snowman” made famous by Aled Jones, I first saw Aled as a weedy 17 year old playing “Joseph” and he was very good (that’s a great show too)then came my favourite song from “A classic Christmas” “Frosty The Snowman” a fab up tempo version Blake meets the Beach boys a proper foot tapping number….
Not forgetting “The Christmas Song” with Dame Shirley Bassey(christmas no 1 I hope) then came ” Nessun Dorma” the show ended with a rousing rendition of ” I’m dreaming of a white christmas” complete with fake snow machine the first four rows were covered!!!!
